got my displex and my martin-fields overlay today. if al lets me borrow his camera, pics coming later.

Welp, I put out a new version of myPAD. I basically rewrote the entire thing in a day or so. Now it’s a full AJAX app, so it’s pretty cool. It does a lot of caching and such to speed things up. If you’ve got time, go check it out and let me know what you think.

BTW, yes I know it steals a lot from Gmail–I obviously could never deny that. But the code is all mine, and no one could deny that Google has some pretty good ideas.

Oh, and right now you can’t remove a label from a note. I’ll get that added over the weekend, most likely.

[Edit:] Fixed a couple small bugs. There was a problem for new users, I got it displaying line breaks properly, and there was a backend thing you wouldn’t notice. I didn’t even update the version.

this, this, and this are all on their way to me. pimpin’ out the pod, knowhatimsayin? also thinkin about one of these, too, just ’cause i don’t wanna end up being one of those kids with the scratched up screens. all should be here by next week, except the lanyard, which is being shipped to my house.

Edit: bought the martin overlay, too. just in case i wanna pimp the pod without the case. double the protection, double the fun.

some people at the ipod nano discussion boards (who have linked to a few other news sites) are suggesting that it would only take a firmware update for the nano to play video. i’m sure it would eat at the nano’s very mediocre battery, but it would still be sweet.

I’ve got my first Psych 100 exam tonight at 7. I’m thinking that it shouldn’t be that tough. The class itself is really not that bad at all. I don’t do much in there other than work on the crossword. It’s an interesting class, but the intro stuff just isn’t that fun.

In other news, Google released a web-based Feed Reader that seems pretty cool. The problem with it right now is that’s just so damn slow. I really hope they speed it up in the future, because it would be a great resource. Right now I use FeedDemon, which gets the job done pretty well. But it would be nice to be able to use the same reader regardless of whether I’m in Windows, Linux, OS X or whatever.

Al got me the video he took of me revving the engine on the Camaro. It’s pretty pimp. Once the video starts, it takes a couple seconds for me to actually do it. I didn’t realize he was recording right away.

[Edit:] Oh, btw, I forgot to mention that the rims on the car are actually 17″ Chrome Corvette ZR1 SS rims. They look pretty nice, imho.

I figured I should post some pics of the new hotness, since Hark requested it. For those who aren’t in the know, it’s fully loaded. That means, t-tops, power windows, power seats, leather seats, cd player, and bose speakers. It’s a ‘96 Camaro Z28. The Z28 means it’s got a 5.7L 350 in it. It’s a beast. As soon as I can, I’m going to post a video of me revving the engine. Hehe.
