How I Roll

I want to warn you this post is probably going to put the ‘ol spit glands in overdrive. You know, with the drool and such. It might not happen–it’s not really something I can promise. I just felt a warning was appropriate.

People who know me have most likely noticed I use the phrase “that’s how I roll”. So, I figured I owed it to everyone to know what that actuall entailed. This is what I came up with.

There’s my brand new 50″ 1080p plasma. It’s a Samsung FP-T5084, to be exact. It’s amazing. My buddy Ian and I beat Halo 3 on it last night, and I enjoyed every second of it more than I would have on my old 20″ RCA.

Every good TV needs a good stand, and this one is no exception. That stand is 62″ wide, and as you can see, every bit of that shelf real estate is used. From top to bottom and left to right we have a 360, PS3, Xbox, Comcast digital cable box, and my Media Center Edition PC (aka my mythbox).

Lastly is just a quick side shot to show off how thin this beast is. So far, I really couldn’t be happier with this thing. Also, I’d like to give a big “Happy Birthday!” to the K-man. :)

T-Shirt Owning

I wore this shirt yesterday, and this one today.

T-Shirt Request

This post is actually directed at Jared. Normally, people do these sorts of things over email, but Jared and I just don’t communicate much through email. The rest of you are just going to have to deal with it.

Jared,

What are the chances of you sending me one of these T-shirts? Come on, you know you want to. Plus, we all know you’re making fat bank over there in the US. Forget that it costs a fortune to live in Seattle.

Oh, and you’d better go ride that SLUT when she opens for business.

Company Meeting

I started writing up a post on our company meeting, but I couldn’t put anything together that I liked.  It’s not for lack of material either; there’s plenty I’d like to talk about.  Rather, it’s a matter of not know what–if anything at all–I can talk about.  So I decided to just throw up a couple quick pics I snapped during the event.

All My Rowdy Friends

Why yes, Hank Williams Jr, indeed I am ready for some football.  But unfortunately, not just any old football.  No, not like the game that was delivered Thursday night.  Oh, no no no no no.  No, I don’t care for blowouts.  Not one bit.  I particularly don’t care for blowouts by the defending Super Bowl champs.  What fun is that?  No sir, I don’t like it.  I prefer good football.  The Colts took over the game so early in the second half that I turned it off.  It wasn’t even worth watching.

I still can’t really believe that because I now live on the west coast, I’ve gotta be awake at 10am every Sunday to watch the games.  What’s that all about?  Noon was pretty much the perfect time for football.  Not too early, but not too late.  It was a pretty good comfort zone for me.  CST > PST, that’s all I’m saying.  I don’t want to start a fight about it or anything.  I mean, it’s really just a fact.  You can’t argue with facts.

Go Broncos!

COD4 Modern Warfare

So I’ve been playing the new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Beta on 360 and I have to say that it is sweet! At first I wasn’t sure how much I would like the modern aspect since all previous COD games have been based in World War II era combat. But, man, I have to say that the present day setting is awesome. For you guys who haven’t maybe tried it out, go here and register for a key, it’s definitely worth it!

Right off the bat I can tell there are going to be some great features to this game that I’m going to love. First off, you can create your own classes and customize what weapons and perks you get. Some of the perks they include in the beta include being able to call in air strikes (if you get so many kills without dying), extra grenades, and one that I think is pretty cool called last stand. In some instances when you are shot, you can whip out your sidearm and use it to dispense some justice before you die. Pretty cool, I think.

There are several different multiplayer modes including team deathmatch, free-for-all, team objective and team tactical modes. Right now the beta only has three playable maps which has both advantages and disadvantages–the obvious being becoming familiar with the maps and becoming bored with the maps, respectively.

No doubt about it that when November 5 rolls around I will be purchasing my copy of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

That Machine’s Specs

I need to brag a little bit, so I’m gonna use Newegg’s help to show off the components of the computer you got to see in the last post.

It runs Windows Vista Ultimate with a 5.4 user experience score. That would be higher if I hadn’t skimped on the hard drive. I got a deal though. As did I with almost every part on this thing. I’m so proud.

My First Real Machine

So this is my new rig and the desk it sits on.
