this, this, and this are all on their way to me. pimpin’ out the pod, knowhatimsayin? also thinkin about one of these, too, just ’cause i don’t wanna end up being one of those kids with the scratched up screens. all should be here by next week, except the lanyard, which is being shipped to my house.

Edit: bought the martin overlay, too. just in case i wanna pimp the pod without the case. double the protection, double the fun.

that lanyard seems risky. that sucker could just fall right off.

i was actually going to cancel that order, and then they just shipped it today. i ordered it at the very same time as my nano, but they didn’t have any in stock or something… not sure. it seemed sweet at the time, ’cause i really don’t wanna put that scratch prone sucker into my jeans pocket, but i started getting a little hesitant about it, too. but it’s mine now, and i’m happy. i’ll be able to pimp the pod around where everybody can see my bling. and if it falls off, apple can just send me a new ipod. i’ll sue ‘em. and i’ll win. don’t you watch tv?

hey, the ipod shuffle is the same way with its lanyard, and i’ve had no problems with it. i think jared is just jealous of the nano.

Bah! Scratch the screen polish (no pun intended (ah, who am I kidding?! (nested parenthetical statements…keen! (it’s like math!)))) The brasso works great. I used it on my 4g iPod, buffed lightly with a high quality Viva paper towel product for approximately 10 minutes, and VOILA! Good as new, just without the 2.5 inch color screen or the ability to play video. And no dancing. Still no dancing.

lol, if only it would dance…

but yeah, i’ve actually heard from quite a few places that it’s possible to restore. it’s just kind of lame that you have to. i’ve had my iriver for a couple years now and there’s not a single scratch on it.

worker, thanks for the link. i’ve seen the same type of thing with people using displex, but i’ve definitely read that brasso works well on the metallic back. i’ll try to borrow a digital camera and post some pics of my experience as well.

Just to be clear, it works on the screen and plastic better than the chrome. I have used Brasso on laptop screens, plexi, and watches also. It’s just good stuff. And cheap.
