Still underground
It’s cool to say that this post is underground. ‘Cause that usually means something more positive than negative. But it sucks at the same time, cause I mean underground literally. Still postin’ from the tunnels. Coulda gotten the internet fixed last night, but Jason and I both had a CS exam at the same time, and that’s when the net tech called (I know cause he left a message on our fancy shmancy answering machine). It sucks hardcore, for those who think it might not. So I’m basically going to be down here a little while this afternoon/evening doing my speech for tomorrow. I’d do it upstairs on my computer, but I need online resources. Blah!
It all happened ’cause jason plugged his new notebook, unpatched, into the network. A net tech explained to me that even if you think your computer is brand new and won’t get the this “worm” that his computer has, it will. Evidentally the worm is on the network, and plugging in will inevitably infect your computer. I didn’t get the memo about this. I’m not so smart about this, but why can’t they just get rid of the worm on the network? Or have some kind of messaging system where the techs are notified when something like this happens? They could just walk up to our room, install the patch (takes 2 minutes, max) and leave, and be done with it. Instead, I end up taking care of the problem, to which still hasn’t been resolved. Can you tell this is irritating?
On another note, who thinks Scott talks different now than he did 4 months ago?
